¨ April 17th. — Threequarter Day — ‘Hands On’

¨ May 15th. — Full Day — Demonstration by Phil Irons.

¨ June 19th. — Threequarter Day — ‘Hands On’

If this Newsletter is late this month you can blame me because my computer has been  giving me grief and I have been disconnected for more than a week . So don’t get on to Secretary Brian!!.

It’s been encouraging to see that our Club meeting attendance numbers have increased over the last few meetings. I hope it is a

reflection of the activities at the ‘Hands On meetings and also the

demonstrators we have booked. Our next meeting on the 17th. April, ‘Hands On’ is being organized for a variety of activities and there should be something for everyone.

Should you see any new faces, visitors or potential new members, be sure to give them a welcome & encouragement. I am still hoping to attend the AWGB AGM at Stow and will report back items of interest later. See you all on the 17th. April.

Post AGM — I am delighted to report that the Chairman’s Prize at the AWGB AGM was awarded to Malcolm Thorpe for his Laminated Salt & Pepper Mills (see photograph below) which were produced for our own Chairman’s Challenge, many congratulations go to Malcolm and thanks also to Tim Davies and Don Lawrence who allowed me to enter their pieces as well, they attracted a lot of attention.
