The pair of candlesticks and darning mushrooom displayed at the May meeting were turned at Woodworks at Daventry. The mushroom was turned by Malcolm Thorpe in a one-hour slot on Friday. He came second in the competition. The candlesticks were designed by Keith Lanchester, with the first candlestick turned by Keith on Friday and the second by Joe Rollings on Saturday.
The pine cone hedgehog was turned by Rob Marlow for pick-a-peg at New Hall Mill. We are still looking for more items for this. See our post for further inspiration. Please bring your items along to a meeting to give to Cliff.
Malcolm Thorpe brought along some of his beautiful ornamental turning which had been entered into an ornamental turning competition in London. The one with the pillars on the sides came third.
