The Chairman’s Challenge runs from January to November each year. There are three categories: novice, intermediate and advanced. The competition is to encourage members to keep turning. The first item to arrive on December’s display table was a rather spectacular flame vase by Dave Hobbs. There was an unusual goblet by Paul Greensmith which attracted attention and appreciation from several people.
