The pair of candlesticks and darning mushrooom displayed at the May meeting were turned at Woodworks at Daventry. The mushroom was turned by Malcolm Thorpe in a one-hour slot on Friday. As reported yesterday, West Midlands Wood turners came 1st for the Best Display Stand. Malcolm Thorpe came second in the Best Darning Mushroom competition which took place yesterday, and the Club was 2nd overall. Congratulations to all involved!
